Care Decision Consultations

Care Decision Consultations

When difficult decisions arise during your pet’s life, our priority is to provide education and compassionate, personalized support for both you and your beloved companion. Through these remote consultations, we work closely with both you and your primary veterinarian to develop a care plan that aligns with your pet’s unique needs and your personal goals.

  1. Comprehensive History Review: We begin by thoroughly examining your pet’s medical history to ensure a deep understanding of their condition and previously performed testing. We may also interview your veterinarian to discuss their recommendations for care.

  2. Consultation: Dr. Peeler will join you on a video or phone call, engaging with you in a detailed discussion, addressing your concerns, explaining your options, and helping you navigate complex medical decisions. By focusing on your specific goals, and your family’s values, we reduce the need for unneccessary or unwanted diagnostic tests and procedures, ensuring that your pet receives only the most relevant and beneficial care.

  3. Ongoing Support: If requested, we can provide regular support to make necessary adjustments to your pet’s care plan. We love working with our local veterinarians, and are happy to keep ‘up to date’ with your pet’s case.

This service is designed to give you peace of mind, knowing that your pet’s care is guided by informed decisions and expert advice, ultimately leading to better outcomes and a higher quality of life for your beloved companion.
